14. How Are Government Securities Traded in India?

Government securities (G-Secs), including Treasury Bills (T-Bills) and long-term government bonds, are traded in India through both wholesale and retail platforms. These platforms provide access to a wide range of participants—from institutional investors like banks and insurance companies to individual retail investors. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the central authority managing the issuance and trading framework of these securities.
